MORE ABOUT ME

Growing up on Long Island, NY, I was lucky enough to be brought up by hard-working parents. During my infant years, my mother worked in the fashion industry; she dazzled baby SAUCE with dozens of palettes + patterns, ensuring my growing brain retained the proper terminology for every damn print under the sun;

My itty-bitty baby skull filled to the brim with houndstooths, paisleys, plaids + stripes, I was entranced.  It was quite possibly inevitable that I’d develop such a thorough appreciation for pattern, psychedelia + pangs of color. My incentive to constantly create was unstoppable at this point + all this talk of polka dots + herringbone planted a seed that sparked my interest in the world of design.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon my deep seated enjoyment of scribbling as a means to create— I often did so during church, in an effort of course, to dissociate from the monotony of the seemingly ceaseless sermons at the Presbyterian Church I grew up attending. Sketching, scribbling + scrawling on anything paper, (or paper-like,) that my little sticky fingers could get ahold of, I often had to be quite innovative with the mediums I chose to work with—

dulled church pencils whittled down to the nub, stolen lipsticks snatched from mom’s purse + even smears of communion wine to name a few, I was introduced to mixed media due to limitation of resources during pastor’s mind-numbingly ponderous speeches. + I couldn’t be more grateful for this limitation, as it caused me to fall head over heels for mixed media. There was no turning back, truly.

Now residing in Queens, NY, you can find me spending my days honing my craft + continuing to venture out into the expansive + enthralling world of design.
